Tarka Trail to Bideford.

On a warm spring Wednesday what more to do than cycle along North Devon’s Tarka Trail to Bideford and back.  I just love the cow parsley at this time of year with their familiar aroma of the season.  Arriving at Instow I treated myself to a rather lack lustre beer which was eventually discarded ‘Greene King West Coast IPA.’  I cycled onto Bideford and after a quick look at the Burton Art Gallery made my way back to Instow and some Sam’s Cider.  Then back to Fremington Quay to watch a military hovercraft doing it’s thing in the Taw Estuary.  Finally the last leg home through some more wonderfully green pathways to Barnstaple.  22.6 miles round trip and 736 calories burnt lol thanks to Strava’s input.  More paintings to come from this trip I’m sure.  Al
